According to the UN, 1 out of 10 people suffer
from hunger worldwide. The security of our food supply, as well as the quality
of our food, depends on many factors, such as the climatic change, economic
conditions, but also war-related restrictions, as it was recently the case in
Ukraine. In particular, women are more affected by malnutrition and hunger. In
the special initiative Transformation of Agricultural and Food
Systems, the BMZ's current feminist development policy
advocates for strengthening the right to healthy food for all people. If you
